Designing of Back splash

When doing a back splash always look at the amount of open space you have (under micro wave and above the stove).  Always remember that a tile that is to big will make the back splash appear to be real small.  I always suggest a 4x4 or 6x6.  But as we all know there is so many oppositions out there now.
